An opossum family lived in an old hollow log hidden by thick bush which grew at the back of Bill Brown's home garden which is in Wellington. There were several opossums in this family. One of them was a baby opossum who was too big to live in his mother's pouch or pocket on the outside of her furry stomach, but he was not too big to ride on her back in the same way we play 'piggy-back' with our own mother and father or older brothers and sisters. This baby opossum accidentally went to Mt. Ruapehu which is in the North Island of New Zealand. Here, he had a very adventurous time and, as well as that, was given the name of Twitty-Dee.
