Donations

We are always grateful for donations of books. What we cannot sell, we see if the op-shop next door wants them. But please make sure you remove any non-book items from your boxes - we are not keen on personal documents or your laundry (this has sadly happened). 

Selling

If you want to sell books, there are two options: store credit or cash. For the same set of books we will offer you slightly more store credit than cash. How much we pay depends totally on what kind of books they are and what condition they're in. 

We generally don't pay anything for: cookbooks, sports books, Readers Digest, encyclopedias and dictionaries, magazines. 

If you want to sell us books, it helps if you can give us some details as to what genre, authors and how many books. A picture of the spines is very useful. Whatever offer we make is subject to actually seeing the books and confirming their condition. 

If you have too many books to bring to the shop, or are otherwise unable to bring them, we are happy to come to your place (within Wellington) and pick them up.
