James Vallence is a struggling artist living in a villa in the South of France. A young woman show up at his door and later reveals she is Kim Spenser, and AMerican heiress, thesubject of a well-publicised search. Masked intruders kidnap Kim, and James is shot. Recovering, and with few leads to Kim's fate, James shifts to Paris to look for her. A change run-in with one of her kidnappers begins a vendetta in which others become embroiled, and James has to fight for his life.
