Sin in the City: Broadcast Talks by Matthew Calder

A collection of Christian radio scripts by Matthew Calder. The 'In The City' broadcasts which aroused such interest among New Zealand radio listeners were not originally planned as a series at all. But the first to be presented, "Sin in the City", brought Mr Calder something like 2,000 letters, and this establised the obvious need for plain speaking to people with problems. "Why were we never taught this before?" was the most frequent question asked. Doctors, social workers and lawyers have commended these broadcasts as filling a real need for troubled people. Incidentally - the author's father, the Reverand Jasper Calder, made New Zealand's first ever religious broadcast on April 13th, 1923. This 1966 Whitcombe & Tombs Pamphlet is in fair condition.
