Peter Hawes is back with another fascinating and funny collection of stories about real people who did some extraordinary (and often very stupid) things to break records or achieve personal goals. While at least one highly eccentric person has featured in each of the last five Fame Files titles, in this book everyone is outrageous in their pursuit of danger to prove a point. While Harry Houdini and Charles Lindberg are well-known characters, equally as thrilling are the stories of more recent risk takers.
