Dr. A. C. Barker 1819-1873 - Photographer, Farmer, Physician by C. C. Burdon

Dr Barker was surgeon about the ship bringing the immigrants to Canterbury NZ in1850. He settled in Christchurch and became prominant as doctor, farmer and photographer. The author examines all aspects of his life and his pictorial record of the early days of settlement.
