Come and meet author Anke Richter, the author of Cult Trip: Inside the world of coercion & control. 

Anke will be in the shop on Thursday, 18 May, at 6.30pm talking about her investigations into Centrepoint, Gloriavale and other cults around the world. Cult Trip (HarperCollins) was a 2022 best seller.

After international journalist Anke Richter met a former teenager from Centrepoint, she threw herself into years of research into cults, from Osho's ashram in India to Gloriavale on the West Coast. Her reckoning with the aftermath of high-control groups and her personal struggle with coming too close to survivors make for a fascinating and disturbing read.
